Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam.
An anonymous string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service if you use it. The privacy policy page can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.
Media
If you are a registered user and upload images to the site you should avoid uploading images that contain EXIF GPS location data. Site visitors can download the images from the site and view the location data.

When you leave a comment on our site, you can indicate whether your name, e-mail address and site may be stored in a cookie. We do this for your convenience so you don’t have to fill in this information again for a new comment. These cookies are valid for one year.
If you visit our login page, we store a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal information and is deleted as soon as you close your browser.

How long we keep your data
When you leave a comment, that comment and its metadata will be stored forever. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments rather than having to moderate them.

All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.
